Teachers & Educators
We are inviting teachers, education professionals and school staff to share their perspectives and experiences of AI in education and the impact of this technology on young people’s learning, wellbeing, relationships and everyday lives.
Your views are crucial to help us understand the opportunities, concerns and support needs emerging in schools, and will contribute to practical, evidence-based resources for educators, families and young people.
The project aims to co-produce resources and guidance to support young people’s safe and healthy use of AI chatbots and digital media.
How teachers can support the project
1. Participate in Our Teacher Survey on Adolescents’ Use of AI
We are inviting ALL teachers, educators and school staff across all subjects and year groups to complete a short online survey about the impact of AI and generative AI tools on education and young people.
This project is led by Dr Jessica Ringrose and Dr Marc Tibber at University College London (UCL), working together with your school and national organisations including the PSHE Association.
The aim of our research is to understand how young people interact with AI chatbots in school and at home, and to co-create practical tools that educators, families, and students can use to foster healthy, informed engagement with these technologies. Your insights as a teacher are important and will ensure that the resources and guidance developed reflect the realities of the classroom and your professional insight.
The survey asks about your professional experiences, the changing role of educators, and what schools may need to support safe, healthy and informed engagement with AI.
How will my contributions be used?
Your contributions will help the research team understand how AI is shaping classroom practice and the kinds of support schools may need, as well as how we can create accessible, evidence-informed guidance and practical tools for young people, schools and families.
Please follow the links below to access the survey and download the participant information.
2. Interested in taking part in an interview or focus group on AI in Education?
